We’ll be taking a field trip to San Antonio to catch this lecture; we’d love for you to join us!
Information taken from the McNay Art Museum website.
The Guerrilla Girls are feminist activist artists. A founding member of the organization visits San Antonio for a lecture at the McNay and workshop at the Southwest School of Art. The Guerrilla Girls undermine the idea of a mainstream narrative by revealing the understory, the subtext, the overlooked, and the downright unfair. Wearing gorilla masks in public, they use facts, humor, and outrageous visuals to expose gender and ethnic bias as well as corruption in politics, art, film, and pop culture.
Space is limited. Fee (includes museum admission): McNay members $25; nonmembers $35; educators, teens, and students $15. Register online at mcnayart.org or call 210.805.1768.
